Our tour with Forrest in the Valley of Fire was awesome. As geologists, we were excited to get a hands on experience and not a touristy attraction. Forrest started off by showing us petrified wood but we quickly ran off to see other amazing sights and he had to tell us when it was time to leave because we were having so much fun. The desert was such a beautiful place and the geology was amazing. The Valley of Fire has text book sand dune migration preserved in the sandstone and the color is so vivid. I was able to collect samples were permitted. Forrest knows about the area, even the geology of the area and we were surprised as many people who aren't geologists don't know as much as Forrest knows. He's done his research and we showed him a few things that he didn't even know was there. The hummer was clean and comfortable too and we were picked up at our hotel on time. We were given lunch at a gas station on a reservation and the food was great. It was a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the strip. I'd go back to Nevada, but I'd want to stay away from the city and do another tour with Bobcat Tours! Forrest also informed us he was from a town close to mine in Kentucky so we had some common ground. Oh, we also saw foot prints in sandstone, ripple marks, sole marks, some interesting minerals, one of the coolest conglomerates I've ever seen and the folding/faulting is amazing.

My wife & I really enjoyed our tour with Forrest. Very knowledgeable, great facts about the Red rock Canyon as well as Vegas. The kind of guy you would like to have drinks with & hear stories. The tour was great, better than just driving ourselves "looking" for stuff. We plan on doing another one of Bobcats other tours!

My wife and I had a fabulous time with Forrest (our driver). We are not normaly the "tour taking" type, however, this company allows you to take in the entire Red Rock Canyon and Desert experience while leaving the driving to someone else. Of course you get the benefit of learning quite a bit about the history and geology of the region as well. This is a great "off the stip" experience. Discover the canyon, the desert, fossils, wild animals, and many other things. Lots of fun! We will definately return and do another tour. Thank you!!! Jacksonville, FL, Nov 2010

Valley of Fire, Petrified wood hunt...yes, we found petrified wood, in less than thirty minutes. A very strange and interesting place. Our guide knows the desert and gave us a lot of history about Las Vegas. He is a fun fellow. This is one of the most interesting tours I have ever been on. We would like to do it again. Red Rock...they didn't promise we would see animals but we did! Road runners,
quail, wild donkeys, and deer right in Red Rock area! WOW!!
What a wonderful tour for the family. Col. Roy Tetters, USA, Ret, K.C., Kansas

Red Rock...the driver was interesting and very careful. A real safety first kind of
guy and he sure knew how to drive off road. We learned all about desert survival.
